The Leavenworth Commissary Kitchen is a commercially licensed kitchen for rent to chefs, caterers, farmers, food procesors, bakers, food trucks, ghost kitchens and more. The mission of the Commissary Kitchen is to enhance our local food system and extend the profit season for our local farms by providing a space to cook, process, and preserve foods. 

 

The opening date is not final as we are waiting on a grant decision that will determine if we are able to add a hood and range before opening. If we receive the grant and install a hood, we expect to open by June 2026. If we don't receive this grant, we expect to open in February 2026.

We anticipate hourly pricing for kitchen use to average around $25/hour (not including storage). Discounts will be available for high frequency use, vendors of our Farmers Markets, nonprofits, and farms.

 

The Kitchen will be reserved on a first come first served basis with a maximum of 2 users at a time. All users will be required to secure insurance prior to using the Kitchen and for anything other than personal use, a business license and health department approval will also be required at a minimum.​​​
